Summary: Norris, the bear was a wise bear. He did not
underestimate the value of patience. The story is centered on Norris lying
under a tree waiting for the last piece of fruit to fall. A raccoon and
chipmunk try to rush the process and eat the fruit. Meanwhile, the fruit fell
on Norris’ head and he shared it with his two new friends.
I would use this book in my classroom to start an
art project. I think that incorporating a book before doing in art project
takes away the feelings that books are strictly educational.
